Analisis Fungsi HumasPT. Riau Andalan Pulp And Paper (RAPP) Dalam Menjalin Hubungan Dengan Media Massa

The main purpose of the study is to analyze the function of Public Relations PT. Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (RAPP) in establishing relations with the mass media, so that communications made by the company can run effectively, and messages to be conveyed can be on target. Therefore, companies need to do effective media relations, because without an effective media relations mass media will tend to publish negative news from the company. The research method used is qualitative method. Data collection techniques are done through interviews, observation, and documentation. Informant The study came from 5 people, namely 4 from public relations PT. Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper corporate communication and 1 person from one media. The results of this study explain that Public Relations PT. Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper has tried as much as possible to provide clarity of information so that it can be understood and can satisfy the press or journalists. The importance of establishing good relations with the mass media because sebagaimitra work that will be able to support various kinds of public relations activities in order to achieve public relations goals. Likewise with the press will lose a lot of valuable information is important if it does not establish relationships with the public relations of an institution. Then the factors that affect it is the human resources and facilities available. So, actually the PR practitioners are helping the press people in order to carry out their duties. The relationship between the PR and the journalist is a dependent relationship, the journalist is a strategic party as the delivery and dissemination of news and information to the public.
