Scaling behaviour for the exponents of U–I-, U–B- and U–T-measurements

2004
Abstract Voltage–current- ( U – I -), voltage–magnetic field- ( U – B -) and voltage–temperature- ( U – T -) characteristics have been measured on two ITER-Nb 3 Sn-type strands (internal tin and bronze route). It can be shown that the thus obtained data can be fitted using a power law. The exponents gained from a fit of the data using such a power law show scaling with the critical parameters. This scaling is within some limitations independent of the annealing conditions, but depends on the strand type under consideration.
