A system platform with conductometric and potentiometrie sensors for point-of-care testing of urine quality

2016
This work presents a system for point-of-care testing of urine quality through conductivity and pH. The conductometric system consists of a DDS sine-wave generator, current source and instrumentation amplifiers. The potentiometric readout consists of a floating bridge-type CVCC circuit with transmission gates for interfacing with FET-based sensor arrays. Temperature and offset compensation with EGFET stabilization have been incorporated alongside calibration. The system has been interfaced to Atmega328 MCU and to a wifi wireless module — ESP8266 for data logging. The system's readout has shown high correlation with a standard meter using CaCl2 solutions, KCl, NaCl, pH buffers and urine samples.
