Exploring User Behavior on Mobile Copy-Paste

This paper investigates the user performance of Copy-Paste operation on mobile. The purpose of the study was to figure out how this function could partially overcome limitations of touch interface. We conducted an experiment for seven days to understand the purpose of using the operation. After the experiment, we analyzed the problem of performing operation, as workflow based on the previous research(ChenChen, 2014) figured several behavior steps of Copy-Paste operation. We focused on smartphone and how Copy-Paste operation was executed differently from desktop interface. Several pain point users countered explored on touch interface. Experimental methods are as follow ; collected user data from mobile clipboard and contextual interviews.
