Generation of a large-scale Airy beam at high altitudes by adaptive optics

Based on adaptive optics technology, we propose a method that can be used to generate a large-scale Airy beam at a high altitude. Meanwhile the distortion of wavefront due to the turbulent atmosphere is compensated simultaneously. To confirm the validity of this method, the generation of an Airy beam with large scale at high altitude has been simulated by our adaptive optics software. The method can extend the application of Airy beams in the atmosphere, such as in astronomic observation and remote sensing.
