The comparison of scattering from model on the Lake to target on the sea based on FSV

2016
The Feature Selective Validation (FSV) Method has been developed as a standard method to mimic an expert's opinion of concurrence between simulation and measurement datasets. This paper presents a comparison of Scattering from model on the Lake to Target on the Sea. Based on the NRCS curves these datasets should appear trendly and quantitive similar. The objective is to present a basic evaluation of the FSV method for the scattering from complex targets. The spectra of wind waves in lake Michigan was introduced for computing the electromagnetic scattering from the rough lake surface. In addition, the JONSWAP ocean spectrum is used in this article to generate numerical data for the scattering of random rough sea surface.
