Discussion on multiple electromagnetic strategies for surface with different scale of roughness combined with different environmental factors

Some computational electromagnetic strategies for surface with different scale of roughness combined with different physical or environmental factors are discussed in this presentation. For the relatively small scale roughness surface electromagnetic problem, the Small Perturbation Method and its higher order computational methods are compared. For the relative big scale roughness surface, the Kirchhoff Approximation and its higher order or modified method are listed and discussed. For the surface with both small and big scale roughness, due to the limitation of small argument expansion and tangential plane approximation, either the Small Perturbation Method and its higher order solving scheme or the Kirchhoff Approximation and its higher order or modified substitute will be invalid, the Two Scale Method that conquers the disadvantage of the above-mentioned schemes should be adopted, and its modified strategy will further improve the precision in the big angle region. Besides, some physical or environmental factors, such as the heat (temperature), moisture, wind, etc., that affect the electromagnetic characteristics of natural rough surface are also discussed. These studies will make sense to many fields, especially, the electromagnetics, remote sensing, optics, oceanography, radar surveillance, material science, etc.
