Improvement of high bandwidth coaxial transformers

Abstract The bandwidth of coaxial transformers can be extended by a new technique using a winding on two separated magnetic circuits. A pulse inverter, with 50 ohm input and output impedances, may be designed with this technique, providing a rise time better than 1 ns and a low frequency limit (3 dB) of 25 kHz.
