Gonococia diseminada y gestación
2010
We present the case of a woman in the third trimester of pregnancy with Neisseria gonorrhoeae meningitis, a highly infrequent entity that is difficult to diagnose. In our patient, we only considered this entity after learning the results of cerebrospinal fluid culture, although the patient had been treated empirically for bacterial meningitis. We review the literature on the topic, which contains few cases of disseminated gonococcal infection in pregnant women.
