Un caso de síndrome prefrontal postquirúrgico tras intervención de aneurisma de la arteria comunicante anterior: seguimiento de tres años

2002
We report the case of a 26-year-old woman that we have followed for more than three years after an operation of an anterior communicating artery aneurysm. We describe her personal, family and occupation history, clinical and pychopathology course, the instrumental tests (angiogram, CT-SCAN, hormone profiles, EEG), psycometric tests on attitude, behaviour, orientation, consciousness leve, attention, concentration, language, intelligence tests (WAIS: IQV= 95 and 104, IQP= 85 and 119 and IQT= 89 and 112, respectively), perceptive and executive functions and personality. In the discussion, we summarize the clinical, psycopathological and neuropsychiatric course of the lobe frontal damage with its subsyndromes (dorsolateral, orbital and medial), the personality disorders associated, and memory disorders in this frontal syndrome. Finally, some issues of the therapeutic and rehabilitation program are described. The article is accompanied by 6 figures, 1 table and 50 references.
