FAULT ANALYSIS OF BRANCHED TRANSMISSION LINE BASED ON DISTRIBUTED-PARAMETER NODAL ADMITTANCE EQUATION

2003
Based on nodal admittance matrix of faultytransmission line in complex frequency domain and thenumerical inverse Laplace transformation (NILT) presented by Hosono, the response in time domain of the voltage at the two ends of faulty branched transmission line is analyzed. It isproved by the analysis based on the MATLAB that thepresented method is more simple and efficient in the selection of analogous parameters than the approximate NILT of ste byPade rational function and the calculation results are moreaccurate. Meanwhile when same kind of fault occurs at thepoints along different branches, in a same coordinate diagram the graph of the relation between the rms value of the voltage at the receiving end and the distance where the fault occurs is given. This graph can be applied to the fault analysis of tree distribution network.
