A retrospective study of perioperative risk factors in 153 cases of congenital heart disease associated with severe pulmonary hypertension

Objective To review the experience of 153 cases perioperative management of congenital heart disease(CHD)with severe pulmonary hypertension(PH)from September 2000 to December 2006.Methods All 153 cases were underwent surgical correction under CPB,therapy of oxygen,sodium nitroprusside,prostaglandin E1,membranous oxygenation and PEEP were applied during perioperative period.Results Only one cases died of right heart failure,No serious complications occurred.Conclusion Correct surgical treatment and actively perioperative management are the guarantee to improve operation rate of success and reduce complications.
