Experimental study on total flavonoids of buckwheat flowers and leaves on mice hepatic injury induced by CCl4

2005
Objective The protective effect of total flavonoids of buckwheat flowers and leaves on CCl4-induced hepatic injury in mice was observed. Methods Fifty Kunming mice were divided into 5 groups randomly. The level of sALT,lALT,and MDA,SOD,GSH,TG,TC in liver, and LI of the mice were determined.Hepato-pathologic changes of mice were observed with light microscopy. Results Compared with model control group, the levels of sALT,lALT,liver MDA,TG,TC and LI of the mice treated with TFBFL were significantly decreased, while the activities of SOD and GSH increased greatly(P0.05).By observation of pathological slices,TFBFL could improve hepatic pathological changes distinctly. Conclusion TFBFL could prevent CCl4-induced haptic injury.
