Method and device for operating a internal combustion engine with an air feed system.

2000
Method for controlling an internal combustion engine with an air system, in which by means of at least one pattern is determined at least one variable which characterizes the air system, from at least one controlled variable and at least one measurement variable, which characterizes the state of the ambient air, wherein the model comprises at least a first submodel and a second submodel, in that the output variables are determined using a partial model from the input variables, because as input variables of the first partial model are taken into account, in addition to at least one output variable from a second submodel, further the controlled variable and the measured variable, in which as adjustment variable has at least one variable which characterizes the quantity of fuel to be injected into account.
