Improvised explosive device kills soldier, suicide bomber lone casualty in failed attack

The U.S. Department of Defense's American Forces Information Service issued the following press release: A Task Force Liberty soldier was killed and two others were wounded today by an improvised explosive device in Baghdad, military officials in Iraq reported. Items seized and subsequently destroyed included amongst others 24 land mines.
