Chromchalkogenide, VIII : Darstellung von Chrom-III-sulfid durch Fällung aus organischen Lösungsmitteln / Preparation of Chromium Sulphide from Organic Solvents

A method for preparation of chromium sulphide from CrCl₃·3 THF or CrCl₃· 3 i-C₃H₇OH in isopropanol is given. For further modes of formation the following reactions are investigated: Tris-bipyridyl-chromium(0) with sulphur and both chromium triphenyl and chromium ethoxide with H₂S. X-ray, IR and UV data of CrCl₃ · 3 THF, CrCl₃ ·3 i-C₃H₇OH, Cr(i-OC₃H₇)₃ · 3 i-C₃H₇OH and of chromium alkoxides are included.
