Failure of diagnosing group B meningococcal meningitis by immunoelectroosmophoresis.

1977
AbstractThe immunoelectroosmophoresis (IEOP) technique has been used to show the presence of bacterial antigens in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of 28 cases of group B meningococcal meningitis. No specific precipitation was observed with any of the 28 CSF examined. Up until now this method has been of no value in the diagnosis of group B meningococcal meningitis.
