Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

2010
Carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning is a leading cause of mortality due to poisoning. Mild poisoning may cause flu-like symptoms, while severe poisoning can cause coma or even death. CO poisoning can also cause delayed neurological sequelae, associated with white matter damage. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy may be helpful in the management of CO poisoning.
