System and Method for Virtual Advertisement Insertion Using Camera Motion Analysis

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for inserting a virtual advertisement using an analysis of a camera operation are provided to enhance effects of an advertisement by reading an image screen by a frame unit and securing an advertisement inserting position and inserting the advertisement into the position. CONSTITUTION: A moving picture shown in a sports ground(110) is photographed in real time and an image signal transmitted from a digital camera(10) is received and an area for advertising the image is searched(50). A movement of the camera(10) is chased(60). An inserting module(65) is divided into an object image transformation mode(70), an obstacle detecting module(90) and an inserting mode(80). If a video frame is inserted, the area for advertising the image is searched(50). If the area is selected, a movement of the camera is forecasted by comparing to the prior frame(60). The virtual advertisement image to be inserted is selected from the pre-set advertisement image database(100) and the image is transformed(70). An obstacle positioned at the inserted portion is detected and an object occlusion mask is prepared(90). The virtual advertisement is inserted in the selected position by using a mask as a key(80).
