HV Switchgear and Its High Capacity Testing for 1000 kV UHV Power Transmission

The paper summarized the characteristics of HV switchgear used in UHV power transmission system and the problems related equipment test technology. The structure and characteristics of SF6 circuit breaker were emphasized to describe, and the technical subjects needed to solve urgently, such as over-voltage restraining, contact performances, the coordination of operating time for resistance switching in and off, were put forward.
