Multiple facial plaques of diffuse plane xanthoma arising from regressed tumours of folliculotropic mycosis fungoides.

2020
Diffuse plane xanthoma (DPX) typically presents as poorly demarcated yellowish-orange plaques on the face and trunk in normolipaemic patients. DPX is also observed in regressed tumour lesions of mycosis fungoides (MF).1-3 However, the pathogenesis of DPX associated with MF remains unclear. A case of folliculotropic MF, whose skin tumours were gradually replaced by DPX after treatment with oral etoposide and prednisolone, is presented.
