Cadeia produtiva de frango de corte: uma análise de desempenho a partir da matriz insumo-produto de Mato Grosso do Sul

The broiler production chain in Mato Grosso do Sul has a market structure similar to that of a competitive oligopoly, with high concentration, no differentiation from and no market dominance by agents. In this work we sought to analyze the effects of a concentrated market structure for the performance of the production chain, as well as its relationship and interaction with the rest of the state economy. From the background provided by the input-product model, the sector's low direct contribution to the generation and spillover of the multiplicative effects of employment (E), income (R) and production (VA) was found. The results enable a better understanding of the broiler production chain and the reflexes of a market structure concentrated in the economy.
