Growth and UV Nonlinear Properties of Optical-Grade Lithium Tetraborate (Li2B4O7) Crystals

High quality and scatters-free LB4 crystals are successfully grown. Nonlinear optical properties of this new promising crystal in UV range are described remarking on the long-term reliability required to nonlinear devices. New applications using LB4 are also discussed.
