Anti-Vibration Performance Proof Test for an Optimized Stiffness Distribution of Elasto-Plastic Joint Elements for Boiler Structures

Seismic ties are the connecting devices installed between a boiler and its supporting structure in thermal power plants. The seismic ties are made of steel and allowed to be used in the elasto-plastic deformation region in order to reduce the seismic response of the boiler structure. This paper deals with an anti vibration performance proof test for an optimized stiffness distribution of elasto-plastic joint elements for boiler structures using a down-scaled boiler structure model on a large shaking table.
