Effects of Grain Size and Morphology of Cement Particles on Their Properties

2020
The saturated content point of polycarboxylic acid water reducer S08F in cement was tested. The influence of particle morphology on the amount of water reducing agent and granular grading for the water requirement of normal consistency and the compressive strength of 3d and 28d were investigated. The results show that the larger the distribution width coefficient of the cement sample, the higher the particle roundness, and the smaller the water requirement of normal consistency. In the same case, the content of water reducer in cement with high particle smoothness is small. To some extent, the higher the particle content of < 3µm, the higher the 3d compressive strength. The higher the particle content of 3-32µm, the higher the 28d compressive strength.
