Introduction of mooring test for 700 t heavy crane

The 700 t heavy crane is the crane with the maximum lifting mass among the cranes installed on board in China, which has been called Giant Crane. This paper introduces 2×700 t heavy cranes installed on a 20 000 DWT heavy lifting multi-purpose cargo vessel for German Export, and mainly analyzes the mooring test procedure and the stability pontoon of the vessel. It concludes a set of methods to provide beneficial experience and help for the further construction of the even larger crane vessels at home.
