Treatment method of sulfate wastewater

2016
A treatment method of sulfate wastewater is characterized by comprising steps as follows: firstly, water and aluminium nitrate are added to the sulfate wastewater, then magnesium hydroxide is added, the mixture is subjected to a reaction for 0.5-24 h, then a reaction liquid is filtered, and hydrotalcite-like compound sediment is obtained. With the adoption of the method, sulfate can be separated in the form of the sediment, and the removal rate is 97% or above; the reaction speed is high, the temperature application range is wide, continuous stirring is not required, and the initial concentration of the sulfate has no influence on the reaction effect. Various defects of existing chemical sedimentation methods are overcome; produced hydrotalcite-like compounds are widely applied to flame retardance, catalysis, medicine, ion exchange and adsorption, high polymer materials, additives and electronic industries and are industrial products having the high additional value.
