Применение phyto-seiulus persimilis против паутинного клеща на разных сортах роз

Efficiency of Phytoseiulus persimilis applications was assessed on varieties of Dutch selection roses: Heaven, Dolomiti, Hot shot, Red Naomi, Deep water and Fiesta which were grown using hydroponic technology. The rose varieties more heavily infested by the spider mite (Heaven and Dolomiti) necessitated the application rates of the predatory mite Ph. persimilis being twice as high as those for the varieties with average (Hot shot, Red Naomi) and minimum (Deep water, Fiesta) degree of infestation. Releases were more effective in the spring for all varieties tested. Using Ph. persimilis in the winter period appeared not to be reasonable because of low air temperature (average daily temperature 19 °С) in the hothouse.
