On the damaging mechanism of mixed wood dust

: The authors showed new immune and morphologic phenomenon--toxic lymphoinhibition--mixed wooden dust (wood laminate, plywood) induces decrease of circulating pool of lymphatic elements and increases mitotic activity in T-dependent zones of central and peripheral lymphatic organs. Pine dust used in experiments and having antigen effects of highly molecular substances activates macrophages and moderate functional stress of T-immunity. With this, leukocyte and lymphocyte counts grow, qualitative and quantitative parameters of phagocytosis increase as well.
