Power transmission apparatus for vehicle

2011
Disclosed is a power transmission apparatus for a vehicle, wherein a first engine (E), a first continuously variable transmission (T), and a first dog clutch (C), and a second engine (E'), a second continuously variable transmission (T'), and a second dog clutch (C') are bilaterally symmetric with respect to a differential gear (D). Either or both of the first and second engines (E, E') are driven in accordance with the driving condition of a vehicle, so that the engines can be efficiently driven. When a vehicle is driven by the first engine (E), the second dog clutch (C') disengages to prevent the second continuously variable transmission (T') from dragging. When a vehicle is driven by the second engine (E'), the first dog clutch (C) disengages to prevent the first continuously variable transmission (T) from dragging. Furthermore, the weight balance with respect to the differential gear (D) on the left and right sides of a vehicle, and the balance in dynamic characteristics of a drive force transmission system, are improved, and thus, the stability of a vehicle can be improved.
