Micropropagation of Dianthus chinensis and D. barbatus through shoot tip culture

Micropropagation system in two ornamentally important species of Dianthus, viz., D. barbatus and D. chinensis through multiple shoot formation from shoot tip explants has been developed. Best response in terms of shoot formation was observed on LS medium supplemented with 2.0 mg/l BAP and 0.05 mg/l NAA.
