Photochemistry of tetrasulphonated zinc phthalocyanine in water and DMSO solutions by absorption, emission, Raman spectroscopy and femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy

2009
Abstract Photochemical and photophysical primary events of tetrasulphonated zinc phthalocyanine anion Zn(tsPc) 4− have been studied by femtosecond transient absorption as well as stationary emission and absorption spectroscopies. Raman and emission spectra recorded in the range of 293–77 K reveal spectral features that provide new information about the photochemistry of zinc phthalocyanines in liquid solutions of H 2 O and dimethyl sulphoxide (DMSO) as well as in crystal frozen matrices.
