This presentation discusses advances in weather technology in the following areas: thunderstorm forecasting; turbulence forecasting; icing aloft; snowfall and ground deicing; ceiling and visibility; oceanic weather; Internet dissemination of weather information; and cockpit dissemination of weather information. Concluding comments concern the transfer of research and development results to operations.
