Efficient Design Procedure of OMUX Satellite Channel Filters using Full-Wave Numerical Methods

In this paper, we describe an efficient design procedure that allows to reduce the time and effort in the design of output multiplexer (OMUX) channel filters typically used in satellite payloads. In particular, we present the complete design of a classic dual-mode filter structure from the initial filter specifications, up to the final real dimensions that implement the desired performance. The procedure is based on the use of two full-wave numerical methods for the analysis of the channel filter structure, and on the application of the ASM technique.
