Process for recovering metals Pt, Re and Al from waste reforming catalyst

2000
A process for recovering Pt, Re and Al from the used reforming catalyst includes such steps as chemically removing Fe from the said catalyst, dissolving in the aqueous solution of concentrated sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid, ion exchanging, acidifying to separate out Sn, ammonifying to separate out Pt, and depositing Re with potassium salt. Its advantages include short technological route, and low cost.
