The decay of 2.1 h 138Pr

1972
Abstract The decay scheme of 138m Pr has been studied using Ge(Li) detectors. Both single and coincidence γ-ray spectra were measured. A decay scheme is proposed incorporating most of the measured γ-rays. The log ft values of β-transitions suggest spin and parity 8 − for 138m Pr. The lifetime of the 2217.8 keV 5 − state has been found to be less than 0.3 ns.
