Producción musical del tema "Trip" de la banda Guayo

This masters degree project has as main purpose to demonstrate the skills and knowledge acquired as a technician in musical production, for the production of the simple promotional of the artist “Guayo”. The development of this project begins with a detailed investigation on the music genre ragamuffin, its roots, evolution and influences. We analyzed the way in which artists and producers made their productions with very few resources, nevertheless managed to consolidate and immortalize this genre throughout the world. The production of this project was carried out in three stages. The stage of pre-production, part of a detailed analysis of the artist in function and relation to the mentioned genre, the artist's proposal, his emotional objective and his concept of sonority, the latter takes as reference to great exponents of ragga; In addition an estimated budget and an established schedule were made to be able to coordinate the tests and the time of study. In this part also was made the selection of the performing musicians that would accompany to the artist and the design of the cover of the CD, all tied under the same concept. The stage of production, specifically details the number of instruments that would cover the project, as well as the different techniques of microphony that would be used for each of them. The post-production stage describes in detail the editing process within the software (Pro Tools), as well as the entire development of the mix and the mastering of the project, resulting in the final objective, the production of the single. Finally a product with professional characteristics was obtained that can be easily commercialized inside and outside the country.
