Method of producing polyphenylcarbosilane using multistage reaction process and polyphenylcarbosilane prepared thereby

Provided are a method for preparing polyphenyl carbosilane to improve production yield, and a polyphenyl carbosilane prepared by the method which is soluble in cyclohexane. A method comprises the step of reacting polymethylphenylsilane by at least two steps carried out at a different temperature in a temperature range of 250-450 deg.C, to prepare polyphenyl carbosilane. Preferably the first step is carried out at a temperature of 250-350 deg.C for 3-20 hours, and the second step is carried out at a temperature of 350-450 deg.C for 6-40 hours. The polyphenyl carbosilane has a molecular weight of 2,000-6,000.
