Study on potassium niobate powders prepared by solid-state method

The precursor is prepared using potassium formate and niobium oxalate or niobium hydroxide as raw materials,a small amount of water as the solvent by fully grind and dry.The precursor and product are analyzed by infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) and thermogravimetric analysis(TG).While using niobium hydroxide as niobium source,the pure KNbO3 powder is obtained after calcination at 600 ℃.The KNbO3 powders with high purity can be prepared in the lower temperature of 475 ℃ by using niobium oxalate as niobium source.
