The invention discloses ultraviolet (UV) solvent-free steel tube coating and a preparation method thereof. The UV solvent-free steel tube coating is prepared by mixing urethane acrylate, polyesteracrylate, epoxy acrylate and acrylic ester monomer at a high speed, adding light inhibitor, dispersing at the high speed and adding a surfactant. The UV solvent-free steel tube coating realizes zero discharge; after the UV solvent-free steel tube coating is coated on a steel tube, the steel tube can be protected, and the surface of the steel tube is prevented from being corroded; the coating can be directly coated after being heated to be at the temperature within 50 and 60 DEG C; after the coating is coated, UV solidification is performed immediately only for 1 to 2 minutes; the production time is greatly shortened, the production efficiency is improved, energy is saved, and the energy consumption is reduced; atomized waste coating can be recycled; the content of volatile organic compounds (VOC) is almost close to zero; and the efficiency is improved completely, and the discharge is reduced.
