Setting up a county forum for groupworkers

Abstract The buzz-words in community and devetopment work are ‘networking’ and ‘forums’ (or should it be ‘fora ?). What do they mean in practice? This paper describes the work involved in setting up a Forum for people working with carers’ support groups. The author is a development worker with the Care for the Carers Consortium in East Sussex, one of three Carers' Demonstration Districts funded by the Department of Health and Social Security for three years.
