Study on improvement measures of concrete durability in marine environment and its effects

In view of the durability requirement for the concrete structure of Golden Bay Reservoir in 5 erosion environments,three groups of compound mix design with HLC inhibitor are proposed,three groups of compound mix design with HLC inhibitor are proposed,including the mixing 25% of fly ash,mixing 65% of slag(containing activator),mixture of 65% of grounded slag(containing slag activator) and HCL corrosion inhibitor.The comparative studies on the concrete mechanics performance and durability were carried out,and the improvement effects of fly ash,ground slag and HCL inhibitor on the concrete durability in marine environment were discussed.The results show that the concrete with high volume of grounded slag has better resistance to chloride ion penetration and sulfate attack,compared with the fly ash concrete.With the addition of HLC inhibitor,the resistance to chloride ion penetration and the compactness of concrete are enhanced,while the concrete carbonation depth is reduced.
