Percutaneous nephroscopic drainage treatment of parapelvic cyst

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of percutaneous nephroscopic drainage on parapelvic cyst. Methods The clinical data of 11 patients with parapelvic cyst treated by percutane-ous nephroscopic internal drainage were retrospective analyzed. Results All operations were successful, no case converted to open surgery. The average operation time was 40 min,and the average blood loss was 25 ml. No obvious complications occured. The average hospital stays after operation was 5 days. Histological studies showed parapelvic cyst in all of the cases. Conclusions Percutaneous nephroscopic internal drainage in the treatment of parapelvic cyst has the advantages of less bleeding,less trauma and rapid recovery.
