Active matrix substrate and a liquid crystal display device
2005
A pixel electrode 18 on the interlayer insulating film 17 and an electrode 16d which is positioned in the lower layer of the interlayer insulating film 17, while electrically connected via a contact hole 17a formed in the interlayer insulating film 17, electrodes 16d active matrix substrate 10 through the control insulating film 14 downward to place another electrode 13 so as to face to the electrode 16d, the liquid crystal display device which is adapted to form an auxiliary capacitance between these two electrodes 16d, 13 in the case where a defect occurs in the electrode 16d, a portion of the electrode 13 corresponding to the region of the contact hole 17a, an opening 20. Thus, with the formation of the contact hole 17a, even if a defect occurs in the control insulating film 14 through the defective portion of the electrode 16d, without lowering the aperture ratio, the occurrence of leakage is prevented between the electrodes 16d, 13 .
