Experimental study on desulfurization of compound sulfur sorbents of CaCO 3 and fly ash

2012
This paper provides an idea that using fly ash discharged from power plants as sulfur sorbent for desulfurization. This method can not only economize large expenses of sulfur sorbents and simplify desulfurization devices, but also solve the pollution of fly ash discharging. The desulfurization regulations with different proportions and concentrations of the compound sulfur sorbents (CaCO 3 and fly ash) were studied. Results show that: when Ca/S mole ratio is 1.024, desulfurization rate of the compound sulfur sorbents is higher than that of CaCO 3 sorbents. Under different SO 2 inlet concentration conditions, when fly ash solution by adding Ca/S mole ratio 0.800 of CaCO 3 , absorbent composite desulfurization rates reach 74.79%, 85.52% and 91.04% respectively. When by adding Ca/S mole ratio 0.512 of CaCO 3 , absorbent composite desulfurization rates reach 74.59%, 79.05% and 81.82% respectively.
