Intravascular stent superelastic radiopaque
2009
A stent (8) intravascular generally tubular having first and second opposite ends (22, 24), said stent (8) intravascular a plurality of end loop parts (28) in first and second opposite ends of the stent ( 8), and a part of the intermediate tubular body (20) formed of a plurality of intermediate circumferential loops (26) between the plurality of end loop parts (28), said part of the intermediate tubular body (20) having a first diameter ( D1), a first enlarged end (22) and an opposite second enlarged end (24), said first and second enlarged ends a second diameter (D2) greater than the first diameter (D1) of the portion of the intermediate tubular body (20 ), wherein said plurality of end loop parts (28) and said plurality of intermediate circumferential loops (26) of said portion of the intermediate tubular body (20) is formed of a single composite wire (10) wound so esp iral, characterized in that said composite wire (10) comprising: an inner core (12) having a selected elongated length and formed of a radiopaque metal; an intermediate polymer layer (16) disposed coaxially immediately adjacent to and surrounding the inner core (12); and an outer metal layer (18) arranged coaxially to and surrounding the immediately adjacent polymeric layer (16).
