FTIR analysis of microwave irradiated polymer nanocomposites

Polymer nanocomposites were prepared in the form of thin films of 30μm by using solution cast method. The samples were prepared with silver nanoparticles and TiO2 nanopowder and dispersed in polycarbonate. These composite polymer films were irradiated by various doses of microwaves at 100 to 750 W for 10 minutes in commercial microwave oven. The FTIR spectra were taken for various samples and compared. The results show the effect of microwave irradiation on polymer nanocomposites.
