Antioxidants, A N N Class of Environmental Contaminants?

1973
Abstract A sizeable number of antioxidants - phenols bearing tert-butyl substituents in ortho-position - in Rhine water and on the activated carbon filters of a Rhine waterworks was determined by means of gas chromatography - mass spectrometry. The potential role of this class of organic compounds as environmental contaminants is briefly discussed.
