Analysis of defects on the couplings between low pressure rotor of steam turbine and rotor of generator

Defects existed on the couplings between theⅡextension shaft and low pressure rotor of steam turbine and rotor of generator of homemade imported type600MW generating unit.In the operation of unit,the vibrations of neighbouring bearings thus increased and the bolts of couplings endured shearing stress,which affected the safe operation of unit.This article analyzes the causes of defects and puts forward the handling opinions and measures.
