Based on sliding mode variable structure of studying control for status switching of switched reluctance starter/generator

2015
Based on the analyze of the status switching principle of SRS/G (switched reluctance starter/generator) and focused on the problem of voltage buildup with no load and voltage adjusting with rated load, sliding mode variable structure controller is designed based on optimization of genetic algorithm to build and adjust the output voltage in switch over process. The controller is consists of feedback loops of initial rev, phase current, load current and output voltage. we also design the genetic algorithm model. It calculates the turn-on angle, turn-off angle and the range of chopping current to promise the switching process's smoothness and rapidity. We build the switched reluctance motor nonlinear model based on finite element electromagnetic analysis and design the sliding mode variable structure controller and simulate it. At last, we test it by using principled sample machine. The result shows that compared with traditional PID, the sliding mode variable structure controller can effectively promote dynamic characteristic of switchover process.
